Moremi Game Reserve. The Savuti Channel. Chobe, where thousands of elephants gather at the river's edge in the dry season. Botswana demands a capable 4WD, recovery gear, and a spirit for genuine wilderness.
It rewards you with some of the lowest tourist density and finest big game sightings on the continent. The Okavango Delta — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — is the crown jewel of any Botswana self-drive journey.

Cape Town to Kruger via the Garden Route and Addo Elephant National Park. South Africa has the continent's best road infrastructure, most varied scenery, and a self-drive culture that has been refined over decades.
Singita's private concessions in the Sabi Sand offer unrivalled big-cat sightings. The Cape Winelands, the Drakensberg, and the Indian Ocean coast complete one of the world's great driving circuits.

Follow the wildebeest across the Mara River. Drive to Amboseli with Kilimanjaro on the horizon. Kenya and Tanzania offer the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth — and it is entirely possible to experience it in your own vehicle, on your own schedule.
